Minister – Rick Mosher

Rick Mosher has served as the preaching minister of Licking Christian Church since the fall of 1986. He began his full-time career in the preaching ministry in 1974 upon graduation from St. Louis Christian College, Florissant, Missouri. He is a native of St. James, Missouri, where he grew up actively involved in the St. James Christian Church. From 1974 to 1986 he served as the preacher for the Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Potosi, Missouri.
Rick, or “Mosh” as he is frequently referred to, is widely known for his involvement in church camp. From 1971 through 1986 he was a regular part of the faculty at Gasconade Christian Service Camp, Waynesville, Missouri. Upon coming to Licking he became involved with the Rock Garden Christian Service Camp where he has served since 1987. He works several weeks of camp each year. Over the course of years, he has served at various times as Dean of High School Week, Deeper Life Week, and Pee Wee/First Chance. From its inception through 2017 he headed up Rock Garden’s Christian Basketball Camp.
Rick served sixteen years on the Board of Trustees of St. Louis Christian College, many as Chairman. As such, he was heavily involved in the merger of St. Louis Christian College with Central Christian College of the Bible. Following the merger, he now serves on the Board of Trustees of Central Christian College of the Bible. Prior to the merger, Rick also served many years on the St. Louis Christian College Alumni Association Steering Committee and served two years as President of the Alumni Association. He is also on the Rock Garden Christian Service Camp board and the area Men’s Fellowship board. He is a past President of the Missouri Christian Convention and of Licking’s Wildcat Booster Club. He serves as a substitute teacher for the Licking R-8 School District. He coached Jr. High Girls Basketball for 23 seasons and continues to do field announcing and score book keeping for the Licking High School girls basketball team. He also helps out on the coaching staff as a part-time volunteer assistant. Rick is always glad to extend the influence of Licking Christian Church beyond the congregations’ doors.
Rick is solidly committed to the Bible plan of salvation (faith in Christ, repentance from sin, confession of faith in Christ, and baptism by immersion into Christ for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit). He has a passion for preaching and teaching the Word of God and is anxious for the opportunity to share the gospel with everyone in the Licking area.

Associate Minister – Keegan Friend

Greetings, my name is Keegan Friend, and I serve as the youth and associate minister here at Licking Christian Church, having begun in late May of 2024. Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” In my personal time, I engage in various recreational activities such as hiking, kayaking, hunting, fishing, walking, disc golf, and pickleball. I find joy in these hobbies as they provide opportunities for fellowship with others and with the Lord. I have previously ministered in the area of Christian camping. I look forward to working with the youth and all the people in the Licking community.
Elders and Deacons
Elders Our elders are the spiritual leaders and shepherds of the congregation. By example and interaction with people they seek to help believers grow in Christ and not only stay faithful but effectively share the Good News of Jesus. The elders oversee the church’s evangelistic and educational programs and strive to see that what is taught and practiced in the church is true to the Bible. The elders are also involved in conducting the general business of the congregation as well as overseeing its missions and outreach programs.
Denny Dunlap, Luke Wade, Troy Hunt, Rick Mosher and John Nolan
Deacons Our deacons oversee our benevolence program and seek other ways to be of service to those in need. In addition they assist the elders in carrying out the local church’s general business as well and in overseeing its missions and outreach programs.
Jeff Wade, Benny Bean, Kenny Gorman, Ryan Wiseman, Lane Wade, Todd Fudge, and Dustin Stockard
